Want to become a domestic violence advocate? 20/20-Hour Domestic Violence (DV) Training prepares future volunteers & professionals to work in the field. Participants will complete 20 hours of self-paced modules provided by the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV), followed by 20 hours of in-person training provided by KAN-WIN.

Completing 20/20-Hour DV Training makes you eligible to volunteer for KAN-WIN’s 24-hour hotline & work directly with survivors, an essential component of our advocacy! If you are interested in volunteering with KAN-WIN, please complete this application before registering.

  • TRAINING TOPICS: Foundations of DV, Crisis Intervention, Child Abuse & Teen Dating Violence, Legal Advocacy, Safety Planning, Cultural Humility, and more!

  • SCHEDULE:

    • Saturday, November 8 | 10AM - 4PM

    • Sunday, November 9 | 10:30AM - 4PM

    • Saturday, November 15 | 10AM - 4PM

    • Sunday, November 16 | 10:30AM - 4PM

  • COST: $75 Adults — $65 Students

    • May be eligible for reimbursement with volunteer commitment

    • Due October 31
